IMPORTANT ABA ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ankeny Basketball Association has worked hard to provide a first-class youth basketball experience in central Iowa ever since 1994. At the end of the 2010/2011 winter season Mel Heintz, Bret VanDePol, and myself are officially retiring the ABA.
Even though we have completed the final ABA season, we are extremely pleased to inform you there will be a youth basketball league replacing the ABA. Todd Miller and Gym Rats Basketball Association will begin with a Summer 2011 basketball league.

Mel, Bret and myself have enjoyed every minute of the ABA experience. It has been a pleasure providing an atmosphere that promoted the development of skills, competition that fostered self-improvement and sportsmanship, and allowed the children to have fun at the same time. We have always believed that “every star has a shining moment”. We leave knowing that we have accomplished our goal. Many, many thanks to all the youth, parents and coaches for making this experience something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
